A Little Update

Hi gang!  I thought I should probably check in and let you know we're still alive!!  Hubby is still on the mend.  He's had a bit of a setback though.  Now his hernias are gone, but in it's place is a huge bloodclot...even bigger than the hernias were.  Like I've mentioned before, hubby doesn't do anything halfway!  The doctor has already seen it and we may be going back in the next day or two for her to see it again since it still seems to be growing.  There may be another surgery required.  Ugh... *face plant*

In happier news, I had a little bit of time to craft.  I made this card as a thank you to our daughter for helping us out the week of the surgery.  Now, since most of you don't know us personally, I have to explain....the people on the front of the card are me and hubby!  We're both in our pajamas and I'm wearing the hideous orange Crocs that daughter hates!  I drew our rings on, and made the hair as close to ours as I could find.   We even added hubby's hernia!  You can't really see it in the picture, but I added a little brad under the shirt to make it poke out!  Haha!  It was awesome!

The new craft room is coming right along.  There's still one more shelf for the embellishments and ribbon that is waiting to be built, and a few finishing touches, like trim and curtains for underneath the desk (so I can store stuff under there!)  I can't wait to show it all to you guys!!

And now, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with anything, I'll shall end this post with a pic hubby took the other morning of our cat sunbathing!  Oh, to be so relaxed!!

Hugs,
Amy E.

Hello Amy. Just wanted to stop by and say hi:) Thank you for stopping by my blog for the hop this past weekend. I wanted to let you know that you will be included in the draw for the blog candy. You were saying that you thought you missed the deadline..no worries:) I am a new follower of your blog too. OMG, I love your paper shelves and wow what a drastic make over with your scrapping space. I hope you will post pictures when the room is all done. On another note..I am a Registered Nurse and became very concerned when I read that your husband has a blood clot. I don't want to alarm you but that is very serious! In my experience he should NOT be walking around with a blood clot. He needs to be hospitalized and treated ASAP! Where is the clot.I am assuming in the groin. If you have any questions just e-mail me..sar342@aol.com

Hope your hubby is feeling better soon! Wow.

I have to laugh at the orange crocs you put on "yourself" in that card...too funny!

Love the kitty. Love kitties.

Now tell your hubby to get well soon, and I kinda have to agree with the above poster. Don't mess around with that blood clot.

I look at your cat and think, I would love to be your cat lol. I hope that your husband is feeling better soon, we need to take care of these men, if he is anything like my husband, he would be saying, I'll be fine, and with that I drag him off to the doctors

Love your card, very very cute.
