Are You Ready For Some Football?

Happy challenge day!  It's Thursday and that means it's time for the Scrapbook Challenge over at Mark's Finest Paper's MFP Speedy TV.  This week, we're doing ANYTHING GOES!  Since this is the sneak peek week for the month's new releases, all of our Design Team members are showing you samples from the new sets.  I can't wait to see all the other entries!

Remember this challenge is strictly scrapbook layouts, no cards please.  You have to use stamps on your pages. They don't have to be Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co stamps but if you do use them you will be entered twice for a chance to win.  And here's the super-cute stamp you could possibly win this week!  Love love love this stamp!  It looks like such a peaceful place to sit...I wish I could play for it!  If you love this image as much as I do, make sure to enter. Entries have been low so you have a great chance of winning!

In honor of the official NFL season starting last week, I decided to do a football layout.  The peeps in the pics are my son and  daughter-in-law.  There's a cute (well, maybe not so cute) story attached to these photos.

Shortly after they started dating, my son Chris, scored tickets for them to see the Dallas Cowboys at the new Cowboy stadium.  It was their first season open so tickets were SUPER hard to come by.  They went to the game and had a blast.  When the game was over and they were walking to the car, all of a sudden they both heard a big POP and Erin went to the ground.  For no apparent reason, her ankle just gave out.  Chris carried her to the car and the drove from the stadium directly to the hospital.

Sure enough, after an exam and x-rays, Erin's ankle was broken.  They continued their date as best they could in the E.R!!!  Romantic...not necessarily...but a great story to tell one day!

For my layout, I used my trusty Silhouette Cameo and several files from the Silhouette store.  I just love the "football frame" and the players!  I also heart the cute little Hospital sign!  For the pennant, I used Mark's Finest Paper's new stamp set called Tailgate Party.  This is a super versatile set for both football and baseball, and all kinds of BBQs and sports parties.  I stamped each flag on the pennant, and fussy cut them, then stamped the letter on each.  I wrapped them around some  awesome blue bakers twine and secured the whole thing with football brads.

I hope to see you join us this week.  As mentioned above, entries have been low, so you have an excellent chance of winning!  You have until next Wednesday at 8 pm EST to link up.  Have a great week!

Happy Scrapping! ~Amy E
