Harvest/Halloween Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome to the Mark’s Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. Halloween/Harvest Hop. We have some great tutorials for you to make some fun and easy projects for this Halloween/Harvest Season. We will be giving away two stamps sets during this hop, so two lucky people will go home with both of these fabulous stamp sets. Be sure to comment on all the designers’ blogs. Our hop will run from September 24th-27th. Our two winners will be announced on September 28th.

September 24th - Treat Holders

September 25th - Polished Stone

September 26th - Treat Bags

September 27th - Holiday Table Setting

All our tutorials along with many more are available on MFP SpeedyTV.  The company blog has direct links to the tutorials! http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com

So, as you read above, today's theme is the polished stone technique.  My background is super light, and looks even lighter on my blog, so maybe next time I might go for some darker colors.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, so that might be part of the reason why.  But it was super fun to do!

I found a "Welcome Fall Card" file in the Silhouette store and thought it would be perfect for this project.  I just traded out one of the pieces for my polished stone piece.  Mark's Finest Paper is coming out with the PERFECT stamp set for Autumn cards, and I used it for this one.  It's called Fall Apples and it will be available in next month's release.  It is AWESOME!  It has three apple images, a little subway art image, and lots of fall sentiments.  I can see myself using this stamp set A LOT!

Be sure to check out all of our designers who participated in our hop. The more you comment the more chances you have to win one of these great stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by! We hope we were able to inspire you with ideas for your Halloween/Harvest season.

Happy Scrapping! ~Amy E

My favorite card of the day. Love the folded frame around the image, one of my favorite things to do. Your technique is a perfect background on this. Sometimes light is just enough. Wonderful job! TFS
