A Shining Heart

Okay...so the plan was to have a brilliant tutorial on how to make this super cute glitter heart Valentine's Day card all ready for you today, but guess what?  Epic fail!  Haha!  I have all the pics but couldn't get everything edited, written and posted in time for my Mark's Finest Paper Purple Passion column to be ready.  Soooo, I'll show you the end result, and then ask you to join me on Friday for the full tutorial!

Last Fall, I was playing around with a fun glitter technique (you can see the posts HERE,  HERE and HERE) and had fully planned to make a tutorial on it back then, but never did.

For today's project, I chose a file from the Silhouette store called Heart Doily Gatefold Card.  I found a second heart to fit on top of the first heart on the card, so that I could glitter and then cut it.  It took a while to find a heart that was close to a match in shape.  Do you know how many different shapes of hearts there are?!?

I got everything cut, glittered and matched up, and then stamped a sweet sentiment on the inside that comes from the Mark's Finest Papers new release this month called the Swans stamp set,  The "I love you" was just perfect to see when the card is opened up!  Too bad dear husband was in here when I was making it, or it would probably end up being his Valentine's card!

Have you started making your Valentine's cards yet?

Happy Scrapping! ~Amy E
