More Growing in Unity - Day 3!

Hi there!  Thanks for coming back for day 3 of growing in Unity!  Today, I want to introduce you to my favorite little man in the whole world!

Last October, I got the pleasure of meeting my first little grandson.  It was love at first sight and Grammy (that's me!) took so many pictures of him, I think the poor little guy thought I had a camera for a face!  Ha ha!  One day he had on a cute blue striped shirt, and the light was pouring into the room just right.  I was awestruck by how blue his eyes were. Of course, out came the camera and here's some of the shots I got!

To make my scrapbook layout, I started with two sheets of blue cardstock in the same shade of blue as those beautiful, sweet eyes.  I broke out my Unity - Insightful Meadows stamp set and went crazy using a watermark technique.  I simply used VersaMark ink to stamp all over the page.  Usually, the darker your paper, the darker the image shows up.

I cut a title from a font I got from the Silhouette store, matted my title and photos, and decided to just let the simplicity of the page speak for itself.  And besides, you don't need any more embellishment than those beautiful blue eyes!

So, just like yesterday and the day before, please leave a comment on any Growing in Unity post on my blog this week, and next Monday I'll pick a random winner from all the combined comments to receive TWO Itty Bitty Stamps of their choice courtesy of Unity Stamps!  You can leave bonus comments for following the blog, following on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter, or for subscribing to the blog.  All the links are near the top of the sidebar.  Just leave a separate comment for each.  And don't forget to leave me a way to contact you in case you're the winner!

Happy Scrapping! ~Amy E

I think all grammy's have that right, Amy! He is precious and they change so quickly you should get all the photos you can. Great layout.

I like your simple background. Even I could do that! I have never scrapbooked because it is intimidating. But I could do something simple like you did. THANK YOU

Never have too many pictures of kids-it goes soooo fast. Love your pages, funny, I've never considered making a background like this and yours in beautiful. I'm going to have to go to the craft room and try it out. Thank you for the inspiration.
