Happy Thursday! I want to share a new idea with you for a series I'm planning to start next week. It's all about scrapbook page kits and how versatile they can really be. Like most paper crafters, I love to make scrapbook layouts and cards, but in the past couple of years, I've also really gotten into Smash*books and pocket page systems. I find myself sitting down to craft, and have so many possibilities, I don't know where to start. First world problems, right?
A while back, I decided to make my own page kits for some crops I was heading to, and have really fallen in love with the idea since then. I go through my papers, ribbons, embellishments, stamps, inks, etc., and put lots of coordinating goodies together. I've used and remade quite a few of them, but have noticed that I always have some leftovers from each kit.
So...what I've decided to do, is feature a page kit each week (homemade for now, since this blog is all about being frugal and saving money) and spend the week doing projects from just that one kit. I'm going to try to get a layout (hopefully a double layout since I like those best!) a pocket page, a Smash*book page and a card from each kit. I'll feature one item each day on the blog and at the end of the week, you'll have seen projects all from just one kit. Here's the kit I'm going to be working with for next week:
On Monday, I'll resurrect an older Money-Saving Monday post about how to make your own page kits (or how I did it, at least!) and then Tuesday, I'll kick off with my first double page layout from the kit you see above. I hope this series has some worth for you and helps to inspire you just a little bit more. So far, I'm inspired, YAY!!!
